Individuals want a fast, reliable tunnel that keeps no logs; most VPNs are slow or opaque. Teams don’t need a VPN at all; they need an answer to who can access which resource from which device. Traditional corporate VPNs try to solve this at the network layer and leave gaps in both security and experience.

Interviews with teams during Discovery gave a clear signal: “We don’t want a VPN, we want identity-based access.” That finding shaped the product’s architecture. The identity and security infrastructure was moved into the studio’s shared layer; every B2B product since inherits it ready-made.
